A walk has two long sides. A closed pad has one outside boundary. A driveway may need end forms and corners. Here are four examples with the assumptions left in plain sight.

2. Straight walks and strips
Start with the left edge and right edge. Count a formed end only when the crew needs a bulkhead or closing form there. Do not add an end that continues directly into the next same-day placement unless the pour plan actually breaks there.
Width changes do not automatically change the long-side footage, but they can add angled transitions, short returns, or new corners. Mark those pieces instead of hiding them inside a waste percentage.
3. Driveways, patios, and pads
- Trace clockwise. Write the exact length beside every formed side.
- Mark what replaces a form. An existing slab, wall, curb, or leave-out may change the edge treatment.
